In 1991 Labrador Retrievers became the most popular dog registered on AKC's registry, and, to date still holds that ranking.   If you have ever had a lab in your life you definitely understand why they are have been and still are the most popular breed in the U.S.   The Labrador Retriever is an exceptional family companion.  They are loyal, affectionate, and patient dogs who constantly aim to please.  They are highly intelligent, good-natured, and they love to play.  Their temperament is reliable and friendly, and they get along very well with children and other dogs.  They need to feel as though they are part of the family, and with their loving nature that usually isn't a one sided feeling.   As a breed, labs are very easy to train.  They are not natural guard dogs, but they will bark if they detect a threat.   As with many dogs, if left unattended for

extended periods of time, the Labrador Retriever can become mischievous during puppyhood which lasts for about 2yrs.  There are two different types of Labrador, which are English and American.   Generally, English are calmer and stockier and American  are taller and leaner.  For more information on the difference between English and American labs you can click on the following link:  English v. American.

As you probably already know, Labrador Retrievers come in 3 colors; Black, which is the breeds' original color, which dates back to the early 1800's; yellow, which first appeared just prior to 1900; and of course Chocolate, which didn't appear until the 1930's and was not acknowledged by AKC as an approved color until the 1960's.

This website is dedicated to our love for Labs, specifically our girls, Rain's Addition, H&T's White Clover Addition, H&T's Addiction Laced w/Trouble, and H&T's Cinnamon Teal's Edition, along with our only boy, Keepsake's H&T Red Rock, and announcing our newest addition, Keepsake's H&T Cheyenne Sunrise, also a female.  We are a small family breeder, which means that we only breed one to two litters a year.  Our family is pictured here on our site.

To view pictures and get to know more about any of our girls or our guy, you can check out their personal page.   In addition, we also have a page dedicated to our puppies, both present and past.   You can check there for information on upcoming litters and updated pictures.  You can also review our health guarantee which accompanies each of our puppies.  We also encourage everyone to visit our contact page which contains helpful information anyone who is considering purchasing a puppy should review.   We routinely have waiting lists for our planned litters.   However, we also maintain a notification list for individuals who would like to be notified when planned litters have been bred and/or whelped so that interested individuals can stay informed as to what is happening.  For more information on planned litters or our notification list please email us @ htlabs4u@yahoo.com.   Many of our puppies are spoken for before they are born, however we occasionally have some still available depending on the size of the litter.
