RAIN'S ADDICTION
Rain's Addiction, (call name) Addi, is a 5yr old black lab. Although most labs love to retrieve, this isn't true for Addi, because she LIVES to retrieve. Addi comes from a gold plated pedigree which includes 6 National Field Trial Champions as well as numerous regional champions. For anyone not familiar with Field Trials, they are competitions in long range retrieving. There is only 1 National Champion per year.
Addi was bred to be a retriever, and that she is. Addi presently holds a Junior Hunt Test title from AKC and we hope to take her through Seniors. Anyone who has seen Addi retrieve can see that retrieving is her life's blood. She would literally retrieve nonstop to the point of complete exhastion if we let her. You can actually see her hunger to retrieve when you look in her eyes.
Addi whelped her 1st litter in May 2006. She had 10 black pups, 4F/6M. On December 17th, 2008 Addi whelped her 2nd litter which consisted of 8 pups total, 4Y (2M/2F) and 4B (3M/1F). To view pictures of her 2nd litter, you can go to the gallery page.
On March 14th one of Addi's puppies from her 12/08 litter was auctioned off at a benefit held at the North East Fire Hall for a young boy named Greg who suffers from kidney disease. We would like to thank everyone who bid on Gunny, and like to thank the fantastic family who was the lucky bidder. We wish all the best for Greg and his family and hope that the night was a huge success.
